Inflow Process Specification

The technical documentation shows how garages can send their odometer readings and the description of the work carried out to Car-Pass, correct errors and request a vehicle history report. Car-Pass supports communication via web services. You'll find our technical documentation and a set of rules of good practices and how to improve the quality of the data sent below. Do you have any questions, or would you like to have an account in our test environment? Please feel free to contact us via supportIT@car-pass.be for more information.

DMS (Dealer Management System) approved by Car-Pass

Car-Pass attaches the utmost importance to the quality of the data sent in by automotive companies. After all, any errors will find their way onto the vehicle Car-Pass certificate and will cast doubt on the correct odometer reading or maintenance history with a potential buyer. In the worst case, this could result in a sale falling through.

Correcting errors is a difficult task, both for Car-Pass and for the company that has forwarded the incorrect data. Prevention is therefore better than cure. In practice, it seems many errors can be avoided at source if the software used by the company is based on sound design. This is why Car-Pass has set a number of criteria DMS software must meet in order to guide the user as much as possible when transferring odometer readings and maintenance history, thereby helping the avoidance of errors. If the software meets these requirements, it may carry the “DMS approved by Car-Pass” label.
