The Chamber of Representatives has unanimously approved the act that amends the Car-Pass legislation. The act contains a number of important points that will make Car-Pass future-proof.
On the 1st of July 2023, the following will change:
- Car-Pass data will be able to be used for non-commercial, anonymous studies and statistics.
- The Car-Pass document will also mention the range of electric vehicles.
- Companies will be able to report odometer readings to Car-Pass based on the number plate, as an alternative to the VIN.
As of the 1st of January 2024, along with the odometer reading, companies in the automotive sector will also have to report a description of the works carried out. The Car-Pass will thus evolve into a digital service book.
